A Minnesota native (and for most of her life, resident), Lisa was fortunate to be named a participant in the Loft Literary Center Mentor Series in Minneapolis from June 2006 through May 2007, working with poets Jim Moore and Arthur Sze, nonfiction writers Thomas Glave and Mary Rose O'Reilley, and fiction writers Shay Youngblood and Pete Hautman.

Her work has been published in numerous literary journals and been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She hopes to find a publisher for her manuscript, Enigma Variations, in the near future. Until then, Lisa continues to work on her new poetry project, a haibun series describing a nomadic year spent in downtown Chicago.

Lisa received her M.F.A. in creative writing from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She teaches part-time at the University of Illinois, Springfield.
